Philip Morris...Ethical?

Philip Morris  International is a tobacco company that has products sold in over 200 countries and supports 15% of the international cigarette market outside of the U.S. One of their many brands that you may recognize when you go into a convenience store is Marlboro. This company is a huge part of the tobacco industry and provides to countless consumers.. but are their labor practices ethical?

  • 3 years ago, Philip Morris admitted to using at least 72 children, as young as 10, that were working on tobacco farms that sold to their company.
  • They only admitted to this because of the human rights watch, which reportedly discovered acts of slavery and illegal practices in Kazakhstan.
...what do you think?
